“Vultures” Overtakes Yeat’s “2093” For No. 1 Spot On Billboard 200, Gets Second Week On Top

The latest Billboard 200 albums chart has seen Vultures 1, the collaborative album from Kanye West and Ty Dolla Sign, beat Yeat’s 2093 for the number one spot. Vultures held its position at the top spot for a second week, with an impressive 75,000 equivalent album units in the U.S. On the other hand, 2093 debuted at the No. 2 spot with around 70,000 album-equivalent units, which is the California native’s best-performing week yet on the chart.

2093 had several versions, which contributed to its chart performance. The core edition of the album was released on Friday, February 16, with 22 songs. Yeat then dropped two new tracks, “As We Speak” with Drake and “Never Quit,” the next day. Finally, on February 21, he released a version of the album with four additional tracks exclusively on his website.

As for ‘Vultures,’ it has undergone several changes and cycles, making it difficult to determine its current status. The good news for fans is that it’s back on Apple Music after briefly disappearing on Saturday, February 24. However, when writing this article, two versions of the project are available: one with a capitalized title and one with an uncapitalized title. Despite all the removals, disputes and controversies surrounding Ye’s rollout antics and statements, there’s still a Vultures track that isn’t on Apple Music but returned to Spotify after being removed from both streamers for unrightfully sampling Donna Summer. These billboard placements are outstanding achievements worth celebrating, no matter your opinion.
