Waka Flocka Flame Admits He At First Hated “No Hands” As the Song Achieves Diamond Status

Waka Flocka Flame made an unusual statement regarding “No Hands” after earning his first diamond award for the certified club banger. In an Instagram Story shared on Saturday (July 22), the New York rapper confessed that if it hadn’t been for DJ Love Dinero’s recommendation, he wouldn’t have accepted the music as his own in the first place.

Drumma Boy, the Memphis native who produced “No Hands,” told TMZ that it was also a historic occasion for him. Wale, who collaborated on “No Hands” with Roscoe Dash, also reacted to the news on Instagram Stories, saying: “classico. Floarin. [Trophy emoji] .”

Despite initially disliking the song, Waka Flocka Flame is still upset that “No Hands” did not win a Grammy. In April, the former Brick Squad bully came to Twitter to protest why his 2010 song was denied nomination by the Recording Academy. Waka Flocka Flame and the group have created the 117th diamond-certified single.

Diamond tunes have also been recorded by Michael Jackson, Drake, Post Malone, Lady Gaga, and many more artists. It’s simply a glorified popularity contest to see who has the most all-time streaming, downloads, and listens. Still, Waka Flocka joining that category is astounding. It took 13 years, but the massively popular “No Hands” finally broke through.
