Jena Malone is an American actress. She was born in Reno but raised in Sparks, both in Nevada. Her mother Debbie acted in local theatre productions, so it is possible she was inspired to become an actress by her mother.

Jena had her first break after being cast by Anjelica Huston in Bastards Out of Carolina.  her performance in the flick earned her critical acclaim and opened doors for her in the industry. Today she is justly recognised as an industry notable with several award nominations.
