Johnny Greenwoods best score. Loved the artists song selection as well. A great soundtrack to a great film!
  • Great music for a mediocre film

Greenwood interestingly is credited as co-composer of songs on this compilation that were written before he was even born.
  • Johnny and Paul are 3 for 3!

Wow. That's all I have to say to Inherent Vice, the third collaborative masterpiece from Johnny Greenwood and Paul Thomas Anderson. GO SEE THIS FILM. PTA has given us one of the best detective noirs since Humphrey Bogart's last cigarette, and Johnny Greenwood has provided one of the most vibrant and lush scores since the golden age of noir. This soundtrack is pulsating with joy, sadness, and the sinister undertones of conspiracy. This isn't a noir about the 70's, but rather a classic homage to noir that feels like it was found in a 40 year old vault, a time capsule from a groovy bygone era. F***ing Zoinks!!

What a fitting soundtrack to Pynchon's most accessable novel. Jonny Greenwood and his assembled supporting cast of has scored another amazing soundtrack.
