Kylie Minogue will be honored with the Brits Global Icon award during this year’s ceremony on March 2, “in recognition of her career spanning across five decades as one of the world’s most successful and iconic music stars,” according to the organizers.
Elton John, Robbie Williams, David Bowie, and Taylor Swift are among the past winners of the Brits Icon, the highest honor bestowed by the Brit Awards. Kylie’s record debuted at number one in the UK for five straight decades, making her the only female artist to do so.
Her popular single “Padam Padam,” which won a Grammy earlier this month, was released ahead of her No. 1 studio album, “Tension,” which she released in 2023. The BRIT Awards 2024 will be held on March 2, 2024, and will be televised live on ITV1, STV, ITVX, and STV Player from London’s O2 Arena. Clara Amfo, Maya Jama, and Roman Kemp are the hosts this year.
Dua Lipa and RAYE, the latter of which has seven nominations overall, are confirmed performers. The public vote on Instagram alone will choose the winners of the genre awards. The poll began this Thursday, February 1st, at noon and ends this coming Thursday, February 15th, at 6pm.
