Blackface Accuses Wizkid Of Song Theft; Says Star Is “Running To Avoid Being Served”

Grammy Award-winning musician Wizkid and music mogul Banky W have both been charged of intellectual property theft by Blackface.

Blackface accused Banky W and Wizkid of plagiarizing his song “I Like The Way” for the song “Slow Whine” and of sampling his song “Twist and Turn” for the song “Ginger,” which is featured on Wizkid’s well-known album “Made In Lagos,” in 2016.

In an interview ‘ #WithChude’, Blackface revealed that since the problem first surfaced in 2016, he has not heard from Banky W or Wizkid. He continued by saying that Wizkid has been “avoiding” Nigeria in order to dodge being served legal papers.

He disclosed that “I called them out (Wizkid and Banky W) for stealing my song ‘I Like The Way’ and changing it to ‘Slow Whine’ without my consent.

“From that time, they have not reached out to me till today, in fact, I think that is the reason why Wizkid is not staying in Nigeria.

He knows he will get served, so they are running up and down from Ghana to Benin Republic to Togo, nobody can find them yet, but once we see them and find out where we can reach them, we will serve them,” He told Chude.

Blackface has been in the news alot over allegations of various artistes including 2Baba, Wiz and Banky, and most recently Asake , stealing his intellectual property.
