Big Sean Set To Release New Book On Maintaining Daily Mental Wellness

Big Sean, the American rapper, songwriter, and record producer, has exciting news for his fans. In addition to releasing new music, he will debut as an author this fall. His new book, titled “Go Higher: Five Practices for Purpose, Success, and Inner Peace,”  is centred around his methods for obtaining self-acceptance and doing inner work. According to the publisher, Simon Element, the book is an interactive guidebook that offers readers a step-by-step approach to maintaining daily mental wellness. It is designed to help readers cultivate a more positive mindset and achieve success in various aspects of their lives. The book’s five practices include visualization, affirmations, journaling, meditation, and self-reflection. These practices help readers discover their purpose, overcome obstacles, and live a more fulfilling life.

During a video message posted on Wednesday (April 3), Sean revealed that Jay Shetty, a British author, podcast host, and motivational speaker, encouraged him to write the book. Following his appearance on Shetty’s podcast in 2022, Shetty suggested that Sean share his practices in a book. Sean’s fans can now look forward to learning more about his journey to success and finding inner peace through his new book.

“I’m excited about a lot of things dropping this year […] but aside from the music, it’s another project that’s been years in the making and it’s finally time,”

“That’s the upbringing that was surrounding me with my family. It was a lot of elevated thinkers. They’d give me gems and these books that I eventually read. If it wasn’t for them methods that I applied to my life, I for sure wouldn’t be here today, period.

“I took all the lessons I learned, all the philosophies mixed with real-life experiences and condensed what works for me into these five strategies that really will teach you what success mean to you and show you what your purpose is if you don’t already know.

Big Sean delighted fans with an intimate Tiny Desk performance at NPR’s Washington, DC, office. The performance celebrated his 36th birthday, which he had recently marked. During the performance, Big Sean delivered some of his most popular hits, thrilling the audience. However, the night’s highlight was the unreleased track “Get Up,” which samples Jodeci’s classic tune, “Get On Up.” The rapper introduced the song with heartfelt words about his one-year-old son, whom he co-parents with Jhené Aiko.
