Davido Clarifies That DMW Signees Will Be Moved To The New Nine+ Records

Afrobeats musician, Davido, who recently launched Nine+ Records, his new record company, has clarified that there’ll be a transfer all of the musicians under Davido Music Worldwide (DMW 2.0) to the new record company. Davido also conducted numerous interviews with the media while on his MSG Timeless press tour.

In addition to declaring himself the greatest of all time in Nigeria, he replicated the famous Kobe Bryant 2001 championship photo. The Grammy-nominated musician declared his partnership with UnitedMasters, a US distribution company, to launch a new record label called Nine+ Records.

Hip-hop, R&B, Latin, and country music are just a few of the genres that this new endeavor—which was unveiled on Thursday, April 18, 2024—aims to include in addition to Afrobeats. Steve Stoute, the founder and CEO of UnitedMasters, expressed hope about the partnership and complimented Davido on his entrepreneurial energy.

Davido’s career has taken a major turn with this historic collaboration, as he goes from being a chart-topping performer to a full-fledged executive in the music industry. Nine+ Records wants to be a major force in the music industry, supporting musicians from other genres as well as Afrobeats talent.

The 2023 UnitedMasters SelectCon event was where Nine+ Records’ seeds were first planted. Davido and Steve Stoute, chairman of UnitedMasters, struck up a crucial relationship there.
