Fans Still Disappointed As Kendrick Lamar Cancelled Tecate Pa’l Norte Appearance Last-Minute

On Friday, March 29th, Kendrick Lamar was set to be the main act for Tecate Pa’l Norte, a famous music festival held annually at Parque Fundidora in Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico. However, the highly anticipated performance was abruptly cancelled just a few hours before it began, leaving many fans disappointed. The festival organizers expressed their regret over the situation in an official statement. Despite the setback, Peso Pluma, who was scheduled to perform before Kendrick, extended his performance to compensate for the rapper’s absence and keep the crowd entertained.

The festival’s post had read,

“For unforeseen circumstances due to logistical issues out of Tecate Pal Norte’s organization — we’re sorry to announce that Kendrick Lamar won’t be able to perform tonight at the festival,”

“We appreciate Peso Pluma for extending his showtime. Deorro will be closing Tecate Light Stage. The programmed shows of the Festival will run as planned,”

Despite the festival proceeding as planned and enjoyed by many, Kendrick Lamar’s absence was a significant disappointment for fans eagerly anticipating his performance. Following the cancellation, fans took to the comments section of a Reddit post, pleading for an explanation from the artist. However, Kendrick has yet to provide any clarification, aside from a repost of the festival’s announcement on his Instagram Story. Many fans have been left speculating about the reasons behind the last-minute cancellation. While some believe it could be due to payment issues, others suggest that Kendrick’s recent diss track aimed at Drake on “Like That” with Future and Metro Boomin may have influenced his decision to cancel. Despite the lack of clarity, supporters are keen to know the truth, and whether Kendrick will address the issue with his fans remains to be seen.
