J. Cole Claims To Be Nearing Completion On His Upcoming Album

J. Cole revealed that he was nearing completion of his seventh studio album, but he gave no indication when it will be released. The Dreamville MC and Drake took the stage together on Friday, February 2, at Tampa, Florida’s Amalie Arena for the kickoff of their “It’s All a Blur – Big as the What?” Tour.

Cole informed the audience during his performance that he was almost finished with his much awaited album, The Fall Off.

He sensed the audience’s love for rap and performed a blazing stanza from Lil Yachty’s “The Secret Recipe” to raucous applause. To further heighten the anticipation, Drizzy hinted that he had previously heard J. Cole’s upcoming album and declared it to be “a classic.”

The announcement of Cole’s upcoming album follows a successful run of features in 2023, which included, among others, “The Secret Recipe” by Lil Yachty, “First Person Shooter” by Drake, “All My Life” by Lil Durk, and “Let Me Calm Down” by Nicki Minaj.

With “To Summer, From Cole,” the lead track from Summer Walker’s new Clear 2: Soft Life EP, which was released in May of last year, Cole announced more music was on the way. Although Cole’s record release date is unknown, fans will have plenty of opportunity to see him live.
