Joanne & BOREK Release “Lioness”

Joanne, the young 22-year-old sensation from Greece, who clinched the title of The Voice of Greece 2020, collaborates with renowned Greek DJ and music maker, BOREK, to unveil their latest track, “Lioness.”

Joanne’s initial single, “Twist In My Sobriety,” a revamped version of Tanita Tikaram’s 1988 classic, dominated the Greek music charts, amassing over 2 million streams on Spotify. The song was lauded by both critics and fans, securing a place in the top five of the Official Greek Airplay Chart and clinching the top position on the Greek Shazam Chart, registering over 300,000 searches. The track also made its mark in countries like Croatia, Russia, Poland, Cyprus, Serbia, and Slovenia.

Following her debut’s success, Joanne introduced her rendition of iiO’s “Rapture” in collaboration with acclaimed DJ & producer Xenia Ghali. She also launched “Midnight,” a creation by ARCADE and Michael Tsaousopoulos, a prominent radio personality in Greece. Additionally, her collaboration on “Katse Kala” with Marseaux and Helena Paparizou, the Eurovision Song Contest 2005 champion, achieved gold certification.

On the other hand, BOREK, with a music career spanning over a decade, has been a significant figure in the Greek music scene. He has partnered with numerous Greek pop and rock icons. As a music composer, BOREK has crafted theme songs for popular TV programs, including “Kitchen LAB by Akis Petretzikis” and “The Eurovision Countdown show,” along with scores for various documentaries and advertisements.
