Kate Hudson Officially Announces Her Debut Studio Album, “Glorious”

After an incredible year of preparation, American actress and singer, Kate Hudson was able to perfectly describe her twelve-song debut as “Glorious.” What now appears to be an inescapable reality—from the dedication to writing songs to the investigation of what might be in the studio to the final mixes—arrives fully formed on May 17.

BBC Radio 2 debuted the guitar-forward single “Gonna Find Out” alongside the tumbling track “Talk About Love,” which recently had a Party Pupils remix, and the acoustic version of “Live Forever,” which teased Glorious. Hudson collaborated with Fujikawa, Carlsson, and Perry on his independently recorded and realized sound, which somehow manages to be both new and recognizable.

Her life has been driven by her intense love of music since she was a little child, therefore she set very high standards for both the project’s execution and its reflection of the lady she has become. Glorious, which is distributed by innovative Virgin Music, will be honored with a ticketed performance in Los Angeles’ Bellwether on May 18, an independent tastemaker space with a 1,500 capacity. Tickets go on sale at 9 a.m. PT today.

For singer-songwriter, actress, diva, and doyenne Kate Hudson, this is an occasion that has been waiting for a lifetime. Long before anyone realized that she wrote, sang, or performed live with a band, it was also her passion.
