Madonna Shares Her Near-Death Experience During A Los Angeles Concert

American Pop legend, Madonna was in the spirit to discuss about the seriousness of her health emergency last summer at the opening of a five-night run at L.A.’s Kia Forum on Monday night. She thanked the attending physician and other medical professionals for their assistance both during and after the days she spent in an induced coma.

The singer disclosed that a well-known doctor named Dr. David Agus assisted her in getting through the difficult time. He was there at the concert, along with other members of her close family and support network. She mentioned them during a humorous, pointed, and seemingly spontaneous nine-minute statement she gave towards the end of the show, just before she played a solo acoustic guitar rendition of “Express Yourself.”

In her account of what she called an near-death experience, God himself appeared. She didn’t explicitly remember a supernatural presence; rather, she deduced it from her words when she first woke up after being thrown into a deep slumber to calm the situation.

Madonna also expressed gratitude to her children, several of whom joined her onstage on Monday night. Mercy supported her mother on “Bad Girl” by playing the piano, and David supported her on “Mother and Father” by playing the acoustic guitar.
