NLE Choppa Announces ‘Cottonwood 2’ Tracklist and Release Date

This Friday, three years after the release of his debut album Cottonwood, Memphis rapper NLE Choppa will release the highly anticipated sequel Cottonwood 2. The 22-track album features guest appearances by Rick Ross, Kevin Gates, Fivio Foreign, Queen Naija, Duke Deuce, Lola Brooks, Polo G, G Herbo, and Lil Wayne, among others.

The tracklist includes the controversial single “Slut Me Out” as well as the previously released Lil Wayne collaboration “Ain’t Gonna Answer.” In an interview with BET, NLE Choppa expressed his enthusiasm for the forthcoming album, stating,

Cottonwood 2 is one of those endeavors that will solidify me, even though I’m already solid. It is the finest music my admirers have heard to date.

NLE Choppa acknowledged that he may not have displayed his full potential on the initial Cottonwood, adding,

On the initial Cottonwood, I believe I fell short. I did not include my finest music on the album, nor did I use my best visuals. I simply did not put forth my finest effort.
