P-Square Performs At Peter Obi’s Campaign Rally In Port Harcourt

Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s (LP) nominee for president in 2023, held a campaign event on Thursday in Port Harcourt’s Liberation Stadium. Former Anambra State governor Obi attended the event with his wife Margaret, several party insiders, and the presidential campaign council members. Also in attendance was the legendary Peter and Paul Okoye singing duo that formed P-Square.

The gathering of LP and Peter Obi fans was entertained by the Okoye twins as they rendered their popular anthems.

The twins were specially made welcome by the LP presidential aspirant himself via social media pages. This was after the duo had reneged on their plans to join the campaign rally that was to hold in Akwa Ibom due to issues that were seemingly out of their control.

In other Peter Obi-related developments, Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike pledged last month to back the campaigns of both Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP). Wike, a leader in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has been at odds with Atiku Abubakar, the party’s presidential nominee, over control of Iyorchia Ayu. Since the start of the general election campaigning for 2023, Atiku, who has visited most states, has not been to Rivers.
