Saweetie Reacts To Quavo Diss With Embarrassing DM

They say all is fair in love and war; however, this week has been challenging for Quavo, the former Migos member, as he has become embroiled in a public feud with Chris Brown, another famous artist. Brown recently released a diss track titled “Weakest Link,” which has received much attention and positive feedback from fans. In response, Quavo released his track, “Over Hoes & B*tches,” on April 22, which did not receive the same level of approval as Brown’s track. Some critics have argued that Quavo relied too heavily on the feature from the late Takeoff, while others felt that he failed to dig up any real dirt on Brown.

To make matters worse, on the same day that “Over Hoes & B*tches” was released, Saweetie, who is also a rapper and has been in a previous relationship with Quavo, took to social media to disprove one of Quavo’s claims. Saweetie has become a central figure in the feud between Quavo and Brown. While Karreuche Tran, a model and actress, was previously the focus of the feud because she dated both artists, Saweetie was also named in their dispute. In Brown’s “Weakest Link,” he claimed to have slept with Saweetie while she was still dating Quavo. Meanwhile, in Quavo’s “Over Hoes & B*tches,” he claimed he didn’t care about the allegations and rapped, “I can take a model b*tch and make a Saweetie, n**ga,” which suggested that she was replaceable.

Saweetie was not pleased with this line and posted a screenshot of her Instagram direct messages, one of which was from Quavo. Although the full text of the message isn’t clear, the beginning of it read: “Damn. We used to be mean af to each…”. She posted the screenshot with a caption that clarified that she meant more to Quavo than he was letting on. “Hopefully, the model he turns into me replies,” she wrote. Saweetie and Quavo were in a three-year-long relationship that ended in March 2021. During an appearance on Caresha Please, a YouTube channel, Saweetie spoke about their relationship and how she believed they would be together for the rest of their lives. She did not answer the question of whether or not Quavo had cheated on her and ultimately attributed their split to differences. Interestingly, the two rappers first connected when Quavo sent Saweetie a direct message on Instagram in 2018, which makes this new DM drama come full circle.
