Solange Unveils Unexpected New Musical Path

American singer, Solange, like her older sister Beyoncé, has taken a different approach with her new work.

In an interview with Harper’s Bazaar on Tuesday, February 20, the “Cranes in the Sky” singer discussed her goals for her new sound. When asked which sound she preferred the best, she said, “The tuba.” This would not be the first instance of the R&B singer’s musical style changing directions.

Solange’s older sister gave her props back in 2022 when the ballet composer made her stage debut at the New York City Ballet Fall Fashion Gala. Beyoncé celebrated her younger sibling’s performance, which happened in September of that year, on her Instagram page.

Her family was proud of Solange for becoming the first Black woman to work as a ballet composer for the New York City Ballet. In her post, Bey included two images of Solange: one showing her entering the venue and the other showing her with two bouquets of flowers. Beyoncé made it quite apparent in her caption that she would always support her sister.

In an interview with Vogue, Solange discussed the enormous achievement, expressing gratitude to her loved ones for coming to the event and stressing the amount of labor that went into making it happen.
