Tems Hosts A Private Listening Party For Her Debut Album And Gives Attendees iPads As Souvenirs
Grammy Award winner Tems invited industry insiders to a private listening session so they could be among the first set of people to hear her upcoming first album.
On April 1, 2024, Temilade Openiyi, better known by her stage name Tems, threw a private listening party to give fans a sneak peek at her eagerly awaited debut album. She has stated in several interviews that the album is complete, however she has not yet disclosed the album’s track listing, release date, or cover art.
Guests at the listening session savored mocktails and cocktails inspired by some of her past endeavors, including “Crazy Tings,” “Damages,” “Higher,” and more. Additionally, the organizing team distributed brand-new iPads. Before the listening started, Tems had a brief statement to make.

The singer seized the opportunity to appreciate and thank everyone who made it to the event, stating that it would be her first time playing the new record for people and that she was nervous. However, she was certain everyone in the room would have a good time listening to her new body of work.

Tems had also previously been spotted in a new viral clip featuring her industry friend and fellow singer, Ayra Starr, in which they both danced to the latter’s chart-topping banger, “Commas.”
