The Ondo State Government Says There Is No Reason To Be Concerned About Akeredolu’s Health

Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, the governor of Ondo State, disclosed Wednesday that he had been battling an ailment for a while, which was the cause of his current appearance of frailty. Speaking about rumors that he is seriously ill with a life-threatening illness, Akeredolu claimed that he has been improving and insisted that his health has not influenced how well he has performed in his role as governor.

According to the Ondo State Government, there is no reason for concern regarding Governor Rotimi Akeredolu, SAN’s health. According to the state government, the governor had some minor health issues that weren’t life-threatening; he’d since received treatment and was on the mend while continuing to perform his duties. This information was released in a Tuesday statement signed by the governor’s chief press secretary, Richard Olabode.

In a related event, farmers and locals from seven towns in Ondo State’s Owo council yesterday demonstrated against the state government’s demolition of their cocoa plantation. Ulura, Amurin, Oronaiye, Bobakanle, Opopogboro, Ago Adafin, Umoodun, and other communities in Owo are a few affected. The farmers who were upset made an urgent plea to Governor Akeredolu and Raimi Aminu, the state’s commissioner for infrastructure, land, and housing, to step in.
