Tiwa Savage Unveils The Premiere Date For Her First Feature Film, “Water and Garri”

Leading Afrobeats female singer, Tiwa Savage, has revealed the exact release date for her eagerly awaited feature debut, “Water and Garri.” Viewers in more than 240 countries will be able to watch the film, which will debut exclusively on Prime Video.

On Thursday, April 4, 2024, the multi-talented singer revealed the much-anticipated release date on social media. She had previously teased fans with news of her movie endeavor. Using a promotional flyer that included her with Nollywood actors Mike Afolayan and Jemima Osunde, Savage revealed that Water and Garri will premiere on May 10, 2024.

Savage shared her delight in an announcement post, referring to her fans as “My beautiful people” and asking them to set a reminder for the film’s release date. “See you May 10th @primevideo,” was how she captioned the post, sparking a wave of excitement and support from her devoted fan following.

An extra special meaning for Savage, who is also the film’s executive producer, is that the film is named after her popular EP, Water and Garri. With this project, she is taking a big step forward in her career by branching out into the film industry from music.
