The substantial role that the Adeleke family plays in Osun State’s political scene has once again been highlighted by Tunji Adeleke’s nomination to this important government position. Ademola Adeleke, the family’s uncle and the current governor of the state, further emphasizes the family’s political influence.

Davido posted about his cousin’s appointment on social media to show the support and unity of the family. The iconic musician commended Tunji’s commitment and expressed faith in his capacity to succeed in his new position as the chairman of the Local Government Service Commission.

The chairman of the defunct Rauf Aregbesola faction of the All Progressives Congress (APC) — The Osun Progressives (TOP) — was also chosen as chairman of the Teaching Service Commission by the Osun State governor.

Prof. Wale Oladipo, former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) National Secretary, was chosen as chairman of the Osun State University Governing Council, while Mr. Diran Odeyemi, ex-PDP Deputy National Publicity Secretary, was designated as chairman of the Osun State College of Technology, Esa-Oke.
