Nigerian musician Afeez Fashola, also known as Naira Marley, has been trending on social media lately due to responses to a video of him reconciling with Zinoleesky and Sam Larry, his previous signee and colleague. Since their release from police detention a few weeks ago, this is the first public appearance Naira Marley and Sam Larry will make together. Fans and followers of Naira Marley have been eagerly waiting for this moment. The video has sparked excitement and speculation among music enthusiasts and others curious about the events that led to the death of Mohbad.
Following their arrest, the two were charged with Mohbad’s murder of the former signee of Naira Marley. Over five weeks were spent in police custody while Naira Marley and Sam Larry were investigated. Naira Marley and Sam Larry were freed by the Lagos State Police Command on Friday, November 17, following their compliance with the terms of their bail. Benjamin Hundeyin, the public relations officer for the state police, revealed this in a brief statement, adding,
“…Naira Marley and Sammy Larry, having met their bail conditions, have been released.”
The magistrate gave the two N20 million bails each, along with three responsible sureties, on Monday, November 6. As the court ruled,
“As part of the bail conditions, the defendants are to surrender their passports and make weekly appearances at the State Criminal Investigation Department.”
Sam Larry and Naira Marley were publicly spotted with Zinolesky in the widely shared video. Zino’s devotion to his former boss, Naira, was warmly praised by confident supporters. While some people were captivated by the attractive appearance of all three males in the widespread video, others were more taken in by Zinoleesky’s healthy appearance, as it contradicted earlier circulating rumours of him looking pale and ill.
