With Her Performance At The ACM Honors, Lainey Wilson Pays Homage To “Yellowstone”

The number one series from Paramount, Yellowstone, is having a wonderful night after taking home the ACM Film Award at the Academy of Country Music Honors gala in 2022.

The ceremony, which took place on August 24, honored some of the finest and brightest in country music and was broadcast on September 13. The talent was out in force for the major event, with Shania Twain collecting the ACM Poet’s Award and Miranda Lambert taking home the Triple Crown Award.

Lainey Wilson, whose song “Workin’ Overtime” was a standout in the season two premiere episode, received credit for Yellowstone. Wilson discussed her song’s inclusion in the series while praising the amazing series.

“I am representing Yellowstone and it’s just – I’m getting to perform the very first song of mine that ever made it onto Yellowstone, “Workin’ Overtime” – it was on season two, episode one, and I’ll never forget just thinking ‘how cool is it that I get a song in this hit TV show, Yellowstone.”

She went on to remark that because she was now a member of the newest cast of Yellowstone, the dream had continued. Yes, Wilson will reprise her role as Abby in Yellowstone’s spectacular fifth season. The storyline in the forthcoming episodes will also see a lot of new additions.
