Yaba Buluku Boyz Release Their Debut Album, “Donsa”

The Mozambican music group Yaba Buluku Boyz has released, “Donsa,” their 15-track debut album.

Songs like “Billions,” “Sontwene,” “Tsunami,” and “Away” are among those that are featured. DJ Tárico produced the album, which is the group’s first release of the year and is distributed by Geobek Records.  The album was released after the Tanzanian songs “Navela” featuring Jux, “Lala” featuring Harmonize, and “Mandlozi” featuring Iyanya.

Preck, DJ Tárico, and Nelson Tivane make up the Yaba Buluku Boyz, a renowned musical group that has shown Mozambique’s rich cultural tapestry and made significant contributions to the music business. Its distinct sound and performance style, which unites communities and celebrates Africa’s common heritage, highlight the diversity of Mozambican music traditions.

The three have worked together with a variety of artists since their group debut in 2021, including Burna Boy, Falz, Yemi Alade, Iyanya, Harmonize, Crayon, and Jah Prayzah. In addition to receiving nominations from respectable award programs like as AFRIMA, the group has played at numerous festivals and events both inside and outside of the continent.

They collaborated with Timaya on “Tsunami,” three weeks prior to the album’s release, demonstrating both the Mozambican group’s strong relationship with other music stars and their talent for catchy rhythms. The new album is now available on all digital streaming platforms.
