At a bustling Lagos club yesterday night, fast-rising artist Oluwabamishe Lukman Abioro, better known by his stage name Young Duu, took advantage of a unique opportunity to meet Afrobeats heavyweights Burna Boy, Asake, and Phyno, who were all present at the outing.
To the delight of fans, DJ Obi’s club Obi’s House, which has previously hosted Wizkid, Davido, and other Afrobeats giants, lit up with excitement last night as it welcomed Burna Boy, Asake, and Phyno, according to clips from the night circulating on socials.
With the help of his manager and close pal, OnlyoneKesh, Young Duu made an unforgettable appearance at Obi’s House last night, as he had a great time interacting with Phyno, Asake, and Burna Boy. In one footage, Burna Boy was seen gracefully drawing the “Oyimo” hit-maker out of the crowded gathering to give him a heartfelt embrace after they shook hands.
Young Duu’s manager, Onlykesh, displayed in a different video the N1.5 million cash gift that Burna Boy gave the singer as a kind gesture after their meeting.
This comes weeks after Young Duu claimed that skit maker and Eh God label head, Carter Efe, was attempting to take advantage of him. The singer quickly alerted his social media followers of Carter’s performance at a public event where he delivered a rendition of their joint single, “Oyinmo” by himself.
