Ruby Ojiakor Biography
Ruby Ojiakor (Orjiakor), a well-known Nollywood actress, producer, dancer, television personality, model, and philanthropist from Nigeria, was born on December 25, 1994. She hails from the Imo State community of Amaraku in the Isi-Ala Mbano LGA. Out of six children, she is the fifth. Ruby was born in Imo state, but she spent her formative years in Port Harcourt, in the state of Rivers. There, she attended both primary and secondary school.
In the state of Rivers, Ruby finished her elementary schooling and earned her first high school diploma. Ruby Ojiakor completed her education in Enugu state, where she attended the Institute of Management and Technology (IMT). She danced in a variety of events and settings while attending the higher education institution. In addition, she looked at acting opportunities while pursuing a certificate at IMT Enugu.
After graduating from Enugu State, she began her acting career as a choreographer for the dance film “Let’s Dance.” She played with well-known artists such as Ernest Obi, Mercy Johnson, Patience Ozokwor, and others. She has starred in more than 80 Nollywood films, including, to name a few, War Soldiers, Shattered Emotions, Pot of Money, My True Love, and Bloody Sin. She is one of the most outstanding and promising Nollywood actresses, and she was nominated for Nigeria’s Most Promising Actress at the City People Entertainment Awards.
Though the actress has denied getting married, she has been romantically linked with fellow actor Golden Ara, who is also the father of her only girl child. Golden is both an actor and a filmmaker. The pair welcomed their first child and daughter in May 2015 in Delta state. However, it is not clear if they are still an item.
The name of the daughter of Ruby Ojiakor is Princess Royalty Somtochukwu. Her birthday is May 20, 2015. She started appearing in 2020 as a kid model and actress and has a sizable Instagram following. Quinn Skincare uses Ruby and her kid as brand ambassadors. The girl’s father is reportedly the actor Golden Ara.
Ruby’s mother is Mrs. Ojiakor, and she still lives. Mrs. Ojiakor was a petty trader who used to sell Garri. Ruby used to assist her mother in her business early on. The actress also got her stunning looks from her mother.
Ruby’s father is Mr. Ojiakor, and unfortunately, he is late. He passed on when the actress was a teenager of thirteen years in JSS3. Besides that, there is scarce information about Ruby’s dad.
Ruby Ojiakor is one of Nigeria’s most affluent and influential actresses, with an estimated net worth of $180,000. A large portion of her earnings come from her professional career as an actress. In addition, she is in charge of a non-profit organization that helps underprivileged kids. She also serves as a brand ambassador to Splendid Furnitures, Quinn Skincare, Justuk Clothing, and Amadiva Bridals, that deal in wedding gown sales and rentals.
According to reports, the actress still resides in a rented apartment by choice. However, it has to be on purpose because, just last month, she handed over the keys to a completed palatial bungalow to her mother and shared the memorable moment on her Instagram page. In the post, she stated that she was being mocked for erecting such a structure while still a tenant.
The precise car(s) driven by the actress is not widely known. Ruby only mentioned in an Instagram post that it was an ‘ancient’ vehicle like her trollers would liken it. However, she made this known in the same post she shared regarding her mother’s new home, which the actress built from the ground up.
Ruby Ojiakor has appeared in over 80 films since she began acting, including Sweet Romance, Disrupted, Azila, War Soldiers, Shredded Emotions, Shake it Off, Pot of Cash, My True Love, Refuse to Marry me, Bless Me, A Lovely One, The Struggle, Transferred Aggression, Mega Mama, P-Square Dance, Pepper Dem, Let’s Dance, You Must Marry Me, Bloody Sin, and many more.
