Moderatto “Rockea Bien Duro” Album Review

What happens when you are asked to rock hard and given a reason to? Of course, you end up having the time of your light.

In a sense, that’s what you’re signing up for if you continue from here. The Mexican rock collective Moderatto has just given us a compilation that ticks all the boxes. “Rockea Bien Duro” album is it.

Translated from the Spanish, “Rockea Bien Duro” means “rock real hard.” This call will resonate with anyone out there, and for lovers of good music, it is something more – a rousing call to have a wonderful time and reject the advances of boredom.

There are over a dozen ways to appreciate “Rockea Bien Duro” and the process of its creation, as well as the people that made it possible, featured or not. In this article, we will try to explore that. You’re welcome to take this as an invitation to join the exploration. Let’s hop if you please.

Artwork

Here, if you please, is one instance when the cover art of a project definitely mirrors the musicians behind it and their public image. The artwork of the project takes the viewers into a semblance of a spectral universe.

Only, in this instance, there are no ghosts and goblins. Famous for their exaggerated on-stage personae, the band members play into that public image with ghostly caricatures of themselves in different states of alertness. No, no, no. they looked goofy. But that’s not a complaint.

Tracklist

Tracklists might be compared to windows in a house. In a sense, they are because they are artistic openings through which to see what an artist has created, good or bad. They might also determine how one takes an entire project.

For their “Rockea Bien Duro” album, Moderatto walked the compact path. They have just ten songs in the compilation. The body of work begins with “Ser O Parecer” version 2022,” and continues with “Inalcanzable,” “Solo Quedate En Silencio,” “Salvame,” “Un Poco De Tu Amor,” “Este Corazon,” “Nuestro Amor,” “Rebelde,” and “Tras De Mi,” eventually ending with “Aun Hay Algo.”

Features

We would say what we have here is a mixed bag. It is. This collective didn’t work on the compilation but picked far and wide to present a uniform and wholesome whole. The result is worth nodding to.

For the compilation, Moderatto worked with the likes of Renee, Pitizion, Paula Fernandes, Anahi, Denise Rosenthal, Camila Fernandez, Aitana, Danna Paola, Susana Cala, Aczino, and Nicole Favre.

Key Songs

Music is a universal language, which means that although one might not understand the language of expression, still songs and even a whole project might resonate with one. We can give many examples of this. But we will pass.

It’s just worth noting that, for us, some songs in this project stood out. We like them more, compared to other tracks, so to speak. One such song is “Un Poco De Tu Amor.” The others are “Nuestro Amor,” and “Aun Hay Algo.”

We would allow you to do the listening and figure out why they appeal to us the most. You should have a great time with them.

Message

Several messages are embedded in this 10-tracker, from relationships to life to love. Taken together, they might not be considered the sum of the human experience, but they at least illuminate some aspects of it.

On that count, “Rockea Bien Duro” is a compilation that will easily snap the attention of music lovers out there, even though they might not be conversant with the genre of expression.

Summing Up

“Rockea Bien Duro” falls under the Latino Pop category, but this is not just a body of work for the Latino universe. Released on August 19, the album plays for precisely 37 minutes. There’s nothing to worry about, though. It wouldn’t bore you.
