Busta Rhymes Biography

Trevor George Smith Jr., long famously known as Busta Rhymes, is an American rapper, record producer and actor. He got his stage name from his friend Chuck D, who reportedly named him after NFL receiver George “Buster” Rhymes.

The name has since stuck – famous around the world. By his own admission, childhood was pretty tough. But he realized he would have to be tougher and more focused to overcome the challenges before him.

The world of rap fascinated him and he decided to explore it with every energy in him. In the intervening years, he had risen to the top of his career, won several awards and been included in About.com’s 50 Greatest MCs of Our Time (1987-2007).
