Shola Allyson Biography
Shola Allyson is a Nigerian singer who would not accept the “lady evangelist” tag many have thrown at her. Born in Ikorodu, Lagos State, Nigeria, she experienced childhood turmoil because her father was absent and her mother gave up on her.
But then, as she would say later, there was someone who never gave up on her, and that’s God. After being abused multiple times by men because of the circumstances of her growing up, she found faith in the Celestial Church.
Joining the church would prove pivotal to her life and career as a musician, as the church gave her the platformto express herself musically, ultimately pushing her to the notable voice she is today.
Besides, it was also in the choir of the same church that she met her husband. She is proud of her celestial affiliation.

Shola Allyson is married to Toyin Obaniyi. It has been said that her modesty was what drew her husband to her.

In an open letter to her father, she noted that he had not played the role he was supposed to play in her life, which of course created a vacuum and led to her falling into many pits.
Ordinarily, she would have been angry, but she has healed. In her letter, she had averred, “Father, I miss you.”

Shola Allyson is a happy mother of three kids, Ayobami, Mopelola, and Obafunmiwo. If she could come into the world again, she would still happily have children. She sees children as a gift from God – and she is more than happy to have those gifts.
