21 Savage Shares New Single With Eyes On The ‘American Dream’ In Biopic Trailer
21 Savage has just dropped a new song, which is the trailer’s soundtrack for his upcoming biographical film, “American Dream: The 21 Savage Story”. The rapper shared the trailer on January 8, featuring Donald Glover and Caleb McLaughlin playing 21 Savage at different points in his life. In the trailer, he raps about his tumultuous past while being interrogated next to McLaughlin. The clip also features Druski, Young Mazino, and other artists making cameo appearances. The trailer shows scenes from 21’s life, including being bullied at school, hustling on the streets of Atlanta, and meeting Metro Boomin, who helped him create his 21 Savage persona.
The biographical film about 21 Savage will hit US theatres on July 4, and the music accompanying the film will be released on July 12. 21 Savage, whose real name is She’yaa Bin Abraham-Joseph, was born in Plaistow, London, in 1992. At seven, he moved with his family to the United States, where they settled in Atlanta. In February 2019, 21 Savage was arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents, who claimed that he was in the country illegally. They alleged that he had arrived in the US in 2005 on an expired visa from 2006, but he stayed there even after it expired.
The resolution of his immigration charges was delayed because of a criminal case related to the original ICE stop, which involved substance and weapons charges. However, DeKalb County authorities stated that those charges had been dropped, which cleared the way for his immigration issues to be resolved. In November 2019, Savage returned to his birthplace and held a concert at London’s O2 Arena, his first hometown show since leaving over two decades ago. 21 Savage’s music has been praised for its raw authenticity and honesty, and his fans eagerly anticipate the release of the accompanying soundtrack to the film.
