The musician claims that the African music scene has advanced significantly since he first entered the field.

Afrobeats went from being a poorly supported sector to one worth billions of dollars, according to Davido, who recently interviewed for the debut of the Native Now Magazine. He continued by saying that in addition to earning millions of dollars today, Afrobeats musicians are also making a difference in their communities and people’s lives.

Davido acknowledged experiencing voice problems in the same interview. The Afrobeats star who described instances in which he became inaudible prior to onstage appearances. The singer admitted that he had to learn to deal with the issue and make sure that it didn’t damage his music. The singer has always drawn criticism for his foggy and husky voice. He continued by saying that at some point, his doctor had given him advice to avoid unnecessary verbal communication.

In a different interview with Omega, the singer also acknowledged that the success of his contemporaries, like D’banj, P-Square, and Wizkid, served as an inspiration for him to pursue music.
