Drake’s Carlton Dance On Stage Goes Viral

During a recent show in Pittsburgh, Drake showcased some new dance moves that went viral and attracted fans’ attention. He seems to be in on the joke and having fun with it. Drake’s “It’s All A Blur” tour has been going on for quite some time now, beginning last year with 21 Savage and Sexyy Red on board. The tour has since transitioned to a second leg earlier this year, featuring J. Cole and Lil Durk, which has continued to make headlines almost weekly. In a new TikTok video that has been making the rounds, a fan captured Drake making the Carlton dance move in the middle of one of his songs. “The Carlton dance,” popularized by Carlton Banks on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, has lasted for decades. While the dance move may seem silly, almost anyone doing it is well aware of its entertainment value, and the “Rich Baby Daddy” rapper certainly leaned into that silliness during his performance.

Earlier this month, Drake released the music video for his collaboration with Sexyy Red and SZA, titled “Rich Baby Daddy.” The video continued the creative approach to visuals that Drake has taken throughout the For All The Dogs era. The video comically played on Sexyy Red’s real-life pregnancy with a home movie-style video documenting her being rushed to give birth. The video concludes with Red and SZA dancing alongside Drake’s newborn baby, adding to its comedic effect. One of the fan-favourite songs from For All The Dogs was “IDGAF,” which featured Yeat. Drake returned the favour by recently appearing on the song “As We Speak” from Yeat’s new album, 2093. The song was released on a deluxe edition of the album, which came out just a day after the original release.
