Fireboy DML And Rema Are Recognized By The RIAA, America’s Music Certification Board
Fireboy DML and Rema have received recognition and acclaim from the RIAA, America’s music certification body, for their accomplishments in 2022. The musicians were listed in the RIAA class of 2022, a group of performers who 2022, were awarded their first gold or platinum certification in the US.
With the success of his single “Calm Down,” taken from his debut album “Rave & Roses,” Rema won his first gold certification in the US. With his massive global hit “Peru,” Fireboy DML also won his first gold certification in the US. As a result, only these two musicians were selected for the 2022 class of the music certification organization. This is a massive W for Afrobeats and the two singers who have displayed beautiful musical chemistry.
In an interview last year, Fireboy stated that he and Remmy boy had collaborated on several songs that are sure bangers should they see the light of day. However, one such collaboration was released on the YBNL artist’s recent album “Playboy,” and they titled the jam “Compromise.” Also, the Rave Lorde made a memorable cameo in the music video for “Playboy” Fireboy’s album’s title track.
They also brought each other out on their separate US and UK tours. Talk about brotherly love.
