JAY-Z Resurfaces On Instagram To Promote His New Film, ‘The Book Of Clarence’

JAY-Z has returned to Instagram to promote his forthcoming film, The Book of Clarence, which is expected to be released early next year. Hov reactivated his Instagram account on Tuesday (August 29) and shared the trailer for the Jeymes Samuel-directed movie, which will be released in theaters nationwide on January 12, 2024.

LaKeith Stanfield, executive produced by the Brooklyn mogul, leads the cast in the biblical picture as a messiah inspired by Jesus, with rapper Teyana Taylor, J Cyler, Benedict Cumberbatch, James McAvoy, Anna Diop, and others. In an interview with Vanity Fair, Jay-Z claimed that the plot is on a young man who discovers faith through love and the desire to make it big in the world, which is everyone’s story.

Jigga raved about his longtime partner Jeymes Samuel and his concept for the film after they collaborated on The Harder They Fall in 2021. JAY-Z, who will provide original music to The Book of Clarence’s soundtrack, is also rumored to be working on new songs.

While Tuesday’s post is technically Jay’s debut on Instagram, the Roc Nation CEO previously joined the platform to promote his The Harder They Fall Western film in 2021 before canceling his account — which had 55,000 followers as of press time — less than a day later.
