Kanye West Isn’t Taking Sharon And Ozzy Osbourne’s Legal Threat Over Unauthorized Song Use Too Seriously

Kanye West has come under fire for using Ozzy Osbourne’s “Iron Man” in his album “Vultures.” The Osbourne family, particularly Ozzy and Sharon, have expressed their disapproval, with Sharon’s representative confirming that they are considering legal action. The rapper, however, doesn’t seem to be taking the criticism too seriously, as he posted a throwback photo on Instagram Stories of the Osbournes dressed up as him and his wife for Halloween. The image featured Ozzy in all-black attire with a black mask, looking like Ye, while Sharon was holding a huge purple pillow close to her chest, imitating Kanye’s wife, Bianca Censori.

This isn’t Kanye’s first use of “Iron Man,” as he had previously interpolated the track on his 2010 song “Hell of a Life.” However, Sharon clarified that no legal action was taken then because Kanye wasn’t being criticized for being antisemitic. Ozzy, in his Instagram post, claimed that he refused to permit Kanye to use “Iron Man” on “Vultures,” and Kanye reshared Ozzy’s post with a message that read, “He has a celebrity handler who’s on his account.” It’s unclear whether Kanye sought permission to use the track or not. The situation has garnered attention from music lovers and critics alike because “Vultures Vol. 1” has been released to mixed reviews. Given the potential for legal action, how this will play out in the coming weeks remains to be seen.
