Michael Bolton Opens Up About Having A Brain Tumor And Undergoing Surgery

Michael Bolton has announced that he had emergency brain tumor surgery recently and that he has postponed his next tour dates. The musician said on Instagram that he discovered the tumor at the end of the year and that it required immediate treatment.

Bolton did not go into detail about the nature of his brain tumor or the first signs of his symptoms. Mohegan Sun Arena had announced in early December that Bolton would be performing there, but the engagement had been canceled “due to illness.”

The new date for the concert has now been set for December 2024. In addition, two tour dates in Switzerland in April and dates for the United States in February and March are still listed on Bolton’s website. Concert venues are still advertising and selling tickets for the planned tour dates in spite of his latest announcement.

However, he says he needs more time to heal after the surgery and hopes to get better so he can perform live again. Bolton, who is 70 years old, takes omega-3 pills and has been a vegetarian since the early 1970s. According to GQ, he insisted on having a gym at every stop on his 2019 tour so he could keep up his five days a week of exercise.
