Morravey Reveals She Ditched Medicine For Music

Afrobeats musician and songwriter Daniella Daniel, popularly known as Morravey, who is signed to Davido’s revamped Davido Music Worldwide (DMW 2.0), has just disclosed that she parted ways with Medicine and Surgery, her university undergraduate program, for music when she was only three years into the undergrad course.

She revealed this hot piece of info in a recent interview with City 105.1 FM, barely days after the release of her debut five-track EP, “Ravi,” which takes a cue from her stage name. Speaking further, she revealed she took part in a church program in January this year where she fasted and prayed.

And the one major prayer request she tabled before God was the frustration she experienced from studying Medicine and Surgery. Morravey said she prayed to God to reignite her interest in her chosen course of study, but that if that wasn’t going to happen, she was going to turn to music, relying on heavenly guidance along the way.

And as the universe may have it, she received a text from Afrobeats superstar, Davido, which, according to her, was taken as a sign from God nudging her to leave her career in Medicine and Surgery. She also revealed that, at the time, she was just about to commence the school session for her third year at River State University. She said also let her parents in on her decision and received their blessing.
