Nicki Minaj Further Expands “Pink Friday 2” With New Future Collaboration “Press Play”
Nicki Minaj just released a new song titled “Press Play.”
The Queens native invited Future, one of Atlanta’s best, to collaborate with her on this new song. The song, which was created by ATL Jacob, can be found on her recently released Pink Friday 2 LP’s “Gag City PLUTO Edition.”
Pink Friday 2, Nicki Minaj’s most recent album, is breaking records for the pop icon. As per Chart Data, Minaj’s most recent release has shattered yet another record by being the first album by a female rapper to achieve one billion Spotify plays in record time.
In addition, the Young Money hit-maker is officially the first female rapper in history with five albums having received more over one billion plays on the streaming service. The Pinkprint from 2014, Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded from 2012, Queen from 2018 and Pink Friday from 2010 have all already accomplished this feat.
With great anticipation, Pink Friday 2 debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with 228,000 first-week units in December, the same day as Nicki Minaj’s 41st birthday. The album instantly became popular. By breaking a long-standing tie with Foxy Brown, Nicki became the first female rapper in history to have three No. 1 albums.
