Peruzzi Threatens To File A Lawsuit Against Influencer For Defamatory Tweets
Nigerian musician, Peruzzi, is taking a strong stand against the dissemination of false information on the internet. He has promised to take legal action against an influencer who posted a fake tweet linking him to a crisis involving Davido and his wife, Chioma Adeleke.
The incident started when X user @belikebaddy posted a spoof tweet that appeared to be from Peruzzi’s account and said that he was having an affair with Chioma. The post implied that because of the purported romance, Davido had broken off contact with Peruzzi.
Peruzzi quickly responded to the misleading story by strongly denying any connection to the fake tweet and denouncing it as wholly untrue. Peruzzi expressed his disgust for the spread of misleading material and cautioned @belikebaddy about the possible legal ramifications of his behavior.
@belikebaddy took full responsibility for his conduct and issued a public apology for distributing the phony tweet in response to Peruzzi’s caution. He apologized to the DMW management, Davido’s record company, for the hurt caused and promised that such behavior would not be repeated.
I apologize for posting an edited tweet which involved @peruzzi and @davido. I take full responsibility for all my actions have caused and i promise it’ll never happen again, My apologies to DMW Management.
