Playboi Carti’s Cancels His ‘Antagonist Tour’; Refunds Fans

In a piece of exciting news for his fans last year, Playboi Carti revealed his plans to embark on a tour and bring along his entire Opium label with him. Fans were thrilled and eagerly anticipated the chance to see their beloved artist perform live. However, some unforeseen delays led to the tour being rescheduled shortly after the announcement, which created concerns about the fate of the tour.

Earlier this year, some of the announced initial tour dates passed, and fans recently received a painful update on the tour’s status. The shows have been officially cancelled, and those who purchased tickets are receiving their money back. This news was met with disappointment from the fans, and many expressed their frustration in the comments section. Two responses read, “Who is not surprised???” and “Not surprised at all.”  Many fans initially thought the tour could indicate that Carti was working on a new album. However, many have given up on that idea altogether. Two more responses read, “That album is never coming” and “There was no music after all…”

In a surprising turn of events, Playboi Carti appeared on the rap album that fans eagerly anticipated: WE DON’T TRUST YOU. Future and Metro Boomin collaborated on this album, featuring a star-studded lineup of artists like The Weeknd, Travis Scott, Rick Ross, and Carti. However, almost all the attention was focused on Kendrick Lamar, who used his verse to take shots at Drake and J. Cole. All four of the featured artists on the track “Type Sh*t” made their debut at Rolling Loud in advance of the album’s release. During Future and Metro Boomin’s Sunday night headlining set, they were joined by both Playboi Carti and Travis Scott to perform the song together for the first time. This performance was met with great enthusiasm from the fans, eager to see their favourite artists perform live.
