Travis Scott Taps Playboi Carti For His Grammy Performance

Travis Scott’s performance with Playboi Carti at the 2024 Grammy Awards was one of the night’s highlights. The duo performed “Fein” and “My Eyes” with explosive energy that featured flamethrowers and strobe lights. Scott’s excitement during the performance was palpable as he shouted, “They slept on me ten times!”

Despite the electrifying performance, Scott lost the Best Rap Album award to Killer Mike’s Michael. Metro Boomin (Heroes & Villains), Nas (King’s Disease III), and Drake & 21 Savage (Her Loss) were among the other nominees in the category. Unfortunately, this was Scott’s tenth losing nomination in his career, and he is yet to win a Grammy. This news disappointed his fans, with one fan commenting on Twitter that “Travis Scott deserved this one, especially after the Grammys disaster of 2018.”

Killer Mike, on the other hand, had a great night. He won Best Rap Album, Best Rap Song, and Best Rap Performance with his track “Scientists & Engineers.” It was his first time winning a Grammy since 2003, when he won the Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group for his work on Outkast’s “The Whole World.” It was a well-deserved win for Killer Mike, and his fans were thrilled with his success.

However, the night wasn’t all positive for Killer Mike. After receiving his awards, he was taken out of the venue in handcuffs by police due to a misdemeanour battery charge relating to an incident outside the Crypto.com arena. This news was a shock to the audience, and we hope that the matter is resolved soon. Overall, the 2024 Grammy Awards were a night filled with great music and performances, but it’s essential to acknowledge the ups and downs of the evening. It’s a reminder that the music industry is not only about glamour but also about responsibility and accountability.
