Portable Omolalomi has expressed his extreme pleasure following the Independent National Electoral Commission’s (INEC) proclamation of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the APC presidential candidate, as the president-elect. The controversial singer recently shared a video of himself dancing and singing along to a brand-new song for Tinubu on his Instagram page, which has over 1 million followers.
As he drove, the self-described “Wahala Musician” yelled and giggled with delight. The caption for the video read: “Say Jagaban, Man pass man. Akoi Tinubu. Wahala wahala wahala.”
The “Zazu” singer, who was in Paris, France, on October 1, 2022, recorded a video in which he showed his support for Tinubu. He praised Tinubu and exhorted Nigerians to vote for him. The street-hop artist faced backlash on social media after admitting earlier that year that he had been paid to support Bola Tinubu’s campaign for president of the All Progressives Congress. People hurled insults at him in the comments section.
But, in response to his critics, Portable claimed that he was merely doing out his duty because the ruling party had paid him to back its candidate. The singer, who claimed to have been paid in the past to disparage Tinubu, indicated that the APC is to blame for his change of heart.
