DJ Chicken, a Nigerian entertainer known for his controversial views, recently expressed disappointment with the outcome of the 16th Headies Awards. Specifically, he aimed famous singer Portable for failing to get recognition at the ceremony.
It is noteworthy that last year’s nominee, Zazuh Zeh, received two nominations but was disqualified due to making threats of violence towards his co-nominees if he did not win. This year, he was not included in the list of nominees, alongside artists like Wizkid. The award ceremony was held on Sunday, September 5th, in Atlanta, Georgia. Following the conclusion of the ceremony, he expressed his disappointment.
DJ Chicken took to his Instagram page to express his disdain for Portable, who failed to secure a nomination or win an award. In a live video, DJ Chicken mercilessly mocked Portable, stating that his fame has dwindled and that the amount her makes in a day is more than the cost of Portable’s house in Ogun State. In addition, DJ Chicken criticized Portable for accusing Shallipopi, a fellow artist, of being a Yahoo boy (Internet fraudster) and suggested that if Portable thinks it’s that easy, he should try his hand at Internet fraud. DJ Chicken’s scathing comments have drawn attention from fans and followers of both artists.
