Ruger Discusses The Inspiration Behind His Hit Single “Asiwaju”
‘Asiwaju,’ the popular song that ruled the charts from December 2022 to 2023, was recorded by Ruger, who has now explained what inspired him to do so. In a brief chat with well-known podcaster Adesope, the gifted singer, performer, and songwriter discussed what pushed him to release “Asiwaju” in 2022. The song’s idea and driving force came from Ruger’s admission that he had been angry at everyone and everything at the time
He maintained that anger has always been the driving force, as he would enter the studio and flow from the fountain of that emotion.
As the singer began the new year by releasing a collaboration with DJ Neptune, Ruger, who gave a magnificent performance in Germany, also revealed his plans to release a new album in 2023. In December 2022, “Asiwaju” held the top spot on the Apple Music Top Songs Nigeria Chart for four weeks.
The artist was so pleased with this accomplishment that he responded on his social media platform. Earlier in March, Ruger disclosed the title of his forthcoming album to be “Ru The World.” While Ruger remained mum regarding the album’s release date, he did provide a sneak peek of a brand-new song that will probably be his next single.
