The musician revealed that his entire EP, “Planet Pluto,” which he recently released in July 2023, was a freestyle in just under two hours. Despite the short time spent on its creation, “Planet Pluto” showcases the musician’s raw talent and improvisational skills. The EP’s spontaneous nature adds an element of authenticity and captures the artist’s creative energy.

“The EP is a freestyle, and I did everything in like two hours.”

Shallipopi explained that he doesn’t write because he thinks music shouldn’t be rigid and that writing makes things rigid. He’s a professional who takes his music seriously even though he doesn’t write his songs or use a formal approach to it.

Since the release of his song “Elon Musk,” which pays homage to the world’s richest man, Shallipopi has quickly gained popularity. Despite the controversy preceding and following the release of his debut EP, “Planet Pluto,” he could further build on this success. Shallipopi was detained by the EFCC for fraud shortly after the release of his single “Elon Musk,” and following the release of his EP, he became the subject of a copyright infringement dispute with veteran musician Pa Monday Edo Igbinidu of the Edo state, who accused Shallipopi of the offence and demanded restitution.
