Anthony Victor, a well-known Nigerian artist better known by his stage name Victony, recently revealed that he had his final surgery to regain his physical mobility in January. According to the media, Victony narrowly missed death in a fatal car accident in 2021, leaving one person dead and three injured. He spent over a year in a wheelchair following the tragedy.
The artist, known for his hit song “Soweto,” shared this information, saying;
“I recently just had my last surgery. I did that in January. And thanks be to God; everything has been good since then.”
During the interview, Victony revealed that his passion for music dates back to infancy. When Tacha, the host, inquired about it, he shared his story.
“What made you want to do music?”
“I guess it has been natural. Ever since I was a kid, Mum would tell me what used to make me stop crying: She would play me BackStreet Boyz. I can’t even tell you a timestamp when I started [music] or when that inspiration clicked. I just always loved music.”
