Nicki Minaj’s Husband Is Facing A House Arrest After Threatening Offset

Kenneth Petty, the spouse of Nicki Minaj, has been put under home arrest for breaking the terms of his probation. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Petty, 45, allegedly threatened rapper Cardi B’s husband Offset on social media.

According to court papers submitted on Wednesday, a federal judge in Los Angeles sentenced Petty to 120 days of house arrest after finding that he had been caught on camera “making threatening remarks toward a specific individual while in the company of someone with a criminal record.”

The Migos rapper, Offset (real name Kiari Kendrell Cephus), was the target of his threatening words, according to the site, even though his name is not mentioned in the legal documents retrieved. Minaj and Cardi B have fought over the years, both in person and on social media. In 2018, the rappers got into a physical altercation at the Harper’s Bazaar ICONS party.

Petty’s comments were against the terms of his probation, which he was given in July 2022. According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, he pleaded guilty to failing to register as a sex offender in the state of California in 2020 and was given a sentence of three years probation and a year of in-home detention at the time.

He was compelled to register because, in 1995, he was found guilty of the first-degree attempted rape of a 16-year-old girl. He received a sentence of 18 to 54 months in prison for the crime, serving a total of four years.
