Nollywood: Drama As Zubby Michael Reacts To Destiny Etiko’s Post Advising Junior Actors Against Disrespecting Senior Colleagues
Nollywood’s Destiny Etiko has warned her younger colleagues against showing disrespect for their more experienced peers. In a brief statement, the actress stated that older stars in the film industry had a role to play in earning the title of A-list actors. Zubby Michael, who recently made headlines for a brawl with a younger colleague, 042 Prince, on a set, responded to her tweet and expressed his opinion. Using her social media page, well-known actress Destiny Etiko guided her less-experienced film industry coworkers. In her message to the industry, Destiny asked aspiring stars to treat their older counterparts with respect, who have worked hard to earn the right to be referred to as A-list celebrities.
The actress admonished aspiring performers that disrespecting elder peers would impede their advancement in the business. She shared a post of her own that read:
“It takes alot to be an A-list superstar RESPECT ÝOUR SENIOR COLLEAGUES. Claiming to be what you are not won’t take u anywhere. A word is enough for the wise
“Keep disrespecting, and u will never get to their position How u dress your bed So shall u sleep on it.”
In agreement with Etiko’s views, Zubby Michael—who recently made headlines for his altercation with actor Ogbu Johnson, aka 042 Prince, on set—added a remark that sparked a debate that has caused netizens to react against his comment. Many criticized him for his actions leading to the brawl, while others supported his stance. He stated:
“That one don kill em career.”
