Odumodublvck Provides Rick Ross With An Overview Of The History Of Afrobeats

American rapper Rick Ross discussed some Afrobeats fundamentals with Nigerian musician Odumodublvck.

American rapper Rick Ross has stated in the past several months that he wants to release an album with an African theme. In an Instagram live session with Rick Ross on March 7, 2024, Odumodublvck offered some advice on musicians the American rapper should check out if he wants to learn more about Nigerian music.

According to Odumodublvck, some of the best musicians in the history of the nation are Burna Boy, Davido, Wizkid, 2Baba, and the illustrious Fela Kuti. Rick Ross has previously mentioned Odumodublvck and Portable in his declaration that he wants to release an album with an African vibe.

Rick Ross reiterated during the Instagram live session that he wanted to collaborate with Nigerian musicians on his album with an African theme. The head of Maybach Music Group stated that he hopes to connect and work with Odumodublvck when he visits the US.

Rick Ross was reminded of his 2013 Flytime event, which he headlined, when Odumodublvck accepted the invitation. During his visit, he shot a music video for his popular song “Hold Me Back.” Odumodublvck also described how he recorded his second single ever using the beat of Rick Ross’s “Colour Money,” which he downloaded.
