Rolling Loud Drops Soulja Boy To Put Wizkid’s Safety First

According to reports, Rolling Loud has recently removed American rapper Soulja Boy from its roster of performing acts for their 2023 annual music festival in Germany. This action was taken to avoid any altercation between SB and headlining Afrobeats musician Wizkid, who has received threats from the rapper over a tweet made over a decade ago.

Twelve years ago, Wiz had tweeted about SB’s music, calling it “wack,” but somehow that tweet flew over Soulja’s head until late last year when he issued a response and got involved Wizkid’s mom involved, saying his “mama wack.” And like nothing happened, Wiz, in his usual manner, snubbed the tweet and did not deem it fit to engage.

As if the former virtual attack was not enough, Soulja threatened to slap Wizkid when he sees him. And this was after a Wizkid fan had trolled the rapper upon the official release of the Rolling Loud Germany flyer. The rapper called the flyer “cap” and went off on Wiz again, including his fans.

So, it’s only wise that Rolling Loud controls the situation by crossing him off their schedule, so things do not escalate. The cancellation of SB’s performance in the forthcoming event was also influenced by his poorly received performance at Rolling Loud Los Angeles. Rolling Loud may also be trying to cut their losses.
